What do you remember about your puberty years? I don’t know about you but it was a super fun stage for me personally: I had shiny metal braces, an unfortunate perm that my mom gamely tried to blow out for me every morning, a bra I hoped to actually need one day, and far too many Duran Duran posters. Good times!!!

Teens are so different from one another but if there is one unifying passion they share across boundaries of gender, age and geography, it is: CHIPOTLE. What is it about Chipotle?? Post-gym snack, date venue, midnight UberEats treat - Chipotle is “actually so sick” as the kids say and an entire food group for almost every teen I know. For this book I made copycat Chipotle bowls with grilled chicken, which is such an easy weeknight meal involving more assembly than cooking, and my own personal hack is to use Trader Joe’s frozen Spanish rice. I can’t promise your teen will love this bowl like they love the original, but if you get a hug and a thanks, Mom afterwards like I did, it sure feels worthwhile.
