How I adore this character and the stories about her! As in the first book, Molly’s quirky differences highlight all the ways she is like all of us, rather than the things that set her apart. The story is funny, clever, endearing, and - much like Molly herself - easy to underestimate, but filled with humanity and unexpected depth. A dual timeline to childhood Molly also provides a satisfying reappearance of Molly’s Gran, one of the most huggable characters I’ve ever read. It’s exactly the kind of book I needed right now, and I hope there will be lots more Molly to come!

The mystery in this novel is wickedly fun, and these cookies are inspired by bits of evidence along the way: revenge brownies! an open jar of peanut butter! I finally had a reason to make brownie candy cane cookies and my favorite, peanut butter blossoms!
